IDPs in South-East Myanmar
Founded in 1998 by the Karen people, the Committee for Internally Displaced Karen People (CIDKP) is a Karen CBO/CSO and the largest local provider of cross-border emergency aid in South-East Myanmar.
Since the military coup in 2021, the number of IDPs in South-East Myanmar has risen from 200,000 to 1.2 million. CIDKP provides aid regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, nationality, religion, political affiliation, and social status.

Regional Townships
CIDKP works in 52 local townships to respond to emergencies and empower community frontline workers throughout South-East Myanmar.
